Health Violations

• This site was applying to become an ASC in order to perform surgical abortions. Rather than correct the deficiencies, in their statement of corrections, they sited they will withdraw their application.  Here is a list of some of their deficiencies;
• None of physicians and nurses are certified in pediatric CPR but are performing abortions on patients under the age of 18. The state requires that a clinician be certified in PALS if performing surgery on children under the age of 18. (YES it said children!);
• No background checks performed on any of the employees;
• Physician is not licensed to administer anesthesia;
• Expired drugs and supplies in use;
• Failed to provide sanitary equipment and failed to follow proper procedure to sanitize, disinfect and sterilize equipment. Rusty suture scissors and speculums being used on patients;
• There is no double locked storage for narcotics and controlled substances.
