Clinic is No longer performing abortions

  • A complaint was filed in March 2018 against this facility for requiring payment for abortions and services related to abortion before the mandatory 48 hour waiting period. They have 30 days to respond. We will update when we get the report from their response.
  • Staff failed to perform a hemoglobin on a patient before she was given a medication abortion. The hemoglobin is part of a blood count that gives a baseline measurement to know if it is safe for a patient to have a procedure and to help monitor blood loss after a procedure.
  • The facility’s policies and procedures were not reviewed and updated on an annual basis
  • Staff was not trained in infection control and emergency practices as required
  • The administration failed to maintain a health record on employees to include TB skin test and immunizations to prevent the transfer of communicable diseases and infections. This put all patients and staff at risk and exhibits a disregard for their health and welfare.
  • The covering of exam tables was torn and worn. There was rust on the metal shelf of the examination table. This failed practice had the potential to render the equipment unsafe and disinfection could not be assured.
